**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Emanuel Medical Center. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.

**Responsibilities**

  • Accurately fill and label medication orders with correct strength, dosage form, and quantity in a timely manner.
  • Accurately stock automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) in a timely manner.
  • Fulfill emergency crash cart, box, and kit requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Re-package and label oral medications/extemporaneous preparations and maintain accurate records.
  • Respond promptly to requests for STAT orders, routine orders, department requests, and ADC stock out bulletins.
  • Ensure all medications are checked by a pharmacist prior to dispensing.
  • Stock medications into pharmacy inventory, including sterile compounding areas.
  • Maintain adequate medication stock levels and proper storage of medications.
  • Deliver medications to patient care areas.
  • Attend to medication requests and phone calls.
  • Prepare simple IV admixtures (excluding chemotherapy, biotherapy) accurately, consistent with IV policies and procedures.

**Requirements**

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician License by the State of California.
  • Hospital Experience Required.
  • IV Certified Preferred.

**Physical Demands**

Lift/position up to 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 50 lbs. of force. Frequent standing and walking. Frequent reaching, stooping, and bending. Manual dexterity, mobility, touch, auditory to perform all the related duties of the position.
