Pharmacy Technician

The Plus Group is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at a fast-paced hospital in the Central Valley area. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely distribution of medications to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various functions in the drug distribution, medication packaging, and patient billing under close observation of the pharmacist and general supervision of the Director of Pharmacy Services.
- Responsible for timely and accurate drug distribution, including selecting and labeling medications, delivering and picking up medications from nursing areas, and restocking drug boxes and emergency kits.
- Ensure accurate delivery by updating admits, discharges, transfers, and patient information such as height, weight, allergies, and ensure adequate inventory is maintained by ordering needed products or communicating need to the buyer.
- Responsible for maintaining efficient operations, including answering telephones, referring drug information related calls to the pharmacist, and assisting outpatients and hospital staff customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement functions and provide feedback on changes to improve the quality of patient care services.
Requirements:
- Registered Pharmacy Technician License by the State of California
- Hospital Experience Required
- IV Certified Preferred
- Covid Vaccine
- Up to date Immunizations or titers test
- 2 step TB- 1 with in the last 12 months and 1 with in a week of starting
- Or chest xray with in the last 12 months
