Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Review physician orders and patient information to determine the necessary diagnostic images.
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain radiographs of designated body portions.
  • Assist radiologists in the administration of contrast media and perform technical procedures.
  • Monitor patient conditions and initiate emergency responses as needed.
  • Document procedure verification and procedural details using a computerized system.
  • Collect and forward completed diagnostic images for interpretation and results reporting.
  • Practice sterile, isolation, and aseptic techniques to prevent contamination.
  • Maintain quality control and report equipment problems to appropriate personnel.
  • Provide quality patient care by considering age-specific, developmental, and cultural needs.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Maintenance of Continuing Education credits and other requirements to maintain ARRT certification.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of anatomy and principles of physics.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
