Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Childcare Center Cook to join our team at Northstar Early Learning Center. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering healthy meals to our children, while ensuring compliance with state and USDA regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve meals to children, working closely with center teachers to meet their nutritional needs.
  • Manage the center's food and nutrition program, including inventory, ordering, and budgeting.
  • Train new employees on food preparation and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the center's leadership team to develop and implement nutrition-related policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Serve Safe Certification for Manager or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
