Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Surgical Technologist to work in our Operating Room. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aseptic and surgical techniques, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
  • Anticipate and respond to unexpected situations during surgery, demonstrating expertise and composure under pressure.
  • Support the leadership team and demonstrate leadership abilities, contributing to a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Recognize and report safety hazards, taking proactive steps to prevent and correct them.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, with a strong track record of success.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) certification required.
  • BLS certification via AHA required.
  • Surgical Technologist registration required; must be eligible for registration via Commonwealth of Virginia at time of hire.
