Job Title: Oncology Nurse Navigator

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Oncology Nurse Navigator to join our team in Northampton, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

The Oncology Nurse Navigator will play a critical role in establishing a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment with physicians, nurses, and other providers to support patients with breast cancer. The primary focus of this position is to provide nursing evaluation, develop and implement outpatient care plans, educate and counsel patients and families, and coordinate home nursing services, social services, and hospice services.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing evaluation and develop outpatient care plans for patients with breast cancer
  • Coordinate home nursing services, social services, and hospice services
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other providers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Triages patient concerns via telephone and receives phone calls related to urgent care, inpatient admissions, prescription refill questions, and test result questions
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and/or relevant experience required
  • A minimum of one (1) to two (2) years' experience in ambulatory oncology required
  • Oncology navigator, practice nurse, and/or triage experience strongly preferred
  • Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse (RN) required
  • Certification in Oncology Nursing required within 18 months of hire date
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
