About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team at Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and support to our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to supervise patients in treatment, recreation, and educational settings, assessing changes in their social behaviors and clinical status.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise patients in treatment, recreation, and educational settings
  • Assess changes in patient social behaviors and clinical status
  • Ensure patient safety in the facility
  • Understand and use least restrictive interventions per facility policy
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
Requirements
  • HSD/GED required
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or a related field
  • Experience: Preferred six months in residential psychiatry or a comparable position
  • Background: Must pass a Level 2 Background Screening and Pre-employment Drug Test
