Mental Health Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team at Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center. As a key member of our residential behavioral health team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to adolescents aged 11-17 who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, and social challenges.
Responsibilities- Supervise and support patients in treatment, recreation, and educational settings to promote positive behaviors and clinical progress.
- Assess and document changes in patient social behaviors and clinical status, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Ensure patient safety and well-being by implementing and enforcing facility policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients, promoting a safe and therapeutic environment.
- HSD/GED required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or a related field preferred.
- At least six months of experience in residential psychiatry or a comparable childcare facility/agency setting.
- Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Screening and Pre-employment Drug Test.
- Successful completion of CPR Certification and Handle with Care training prior to assisting with restraining procedures.
