Job Summary

The Bay Club is seeking a skilled Cook to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food for our guests. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including meats, vegetables, and soups, using advanced techniques and presentation methods.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure that all kitchen tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure that all kitchen operations run smoothly.

Requirements
  • Minimum two years' experience in a high-volume food and beverage operation.
  • Advanced knife skills and knowledge of cooking techniques.
  • Food safety certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions
  • The environment of the position is indoors.
  • The position requires frequent changes in condition, including extreme heat and cold.
  • The position requires sitting and standing as needed.
  • The position requires the repetitive use of the hands and arms.
  • The position requires walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, tasting, and smelling.
  • The position requires frequently lifting and/or moving up to 60 pounds.
