Job Summary

This is a part-time Event Security position at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all events, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to requests for assistance from Sandler Center staff and visitors for a variety of security issues, including fire and medical emergencies.
  • Perform all event and non-event security duties as assigned, including conducting building safety inspections and admitting building staff, suppliers, contractors, visitors, and guests to the facility.
  • Provide regular security functions within the performance hall and related areas, prior to, during, and after all events.
  • Protect Arena equipment, materials, and structures throughout the work schedule.
  • Receives, records, and returns all lost and found items according to established team procedures.
  • When requested, provide escorts of persons to and from locations within the Sandler Center facility.
Requirements
  • Prior security experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Able to work Sandler Center events as assigned.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language required.
  • Ability to work beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends, and select holidays, is required.
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Must have earned or can earn valid CPR certification.
  • Must demonstrate a positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
