Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Early Childhood Education Specialist in Brooklyn. In this role, you will assist the Head Teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons, work with a team to provide a stimulating environment and activities, encourage parent involvement, set individual goals and record anecdotal observations for each child, keep the room clean, help with toileting, and perform various classroom duties.

  • Inspect fire exits and extinguishers regularly
  • File incident or accident reports accordingly and as needed
  • Notify parents and director when children are sick or get hurt
  • Use bleach solutions to clean toys and surfaces as required
  • Use the Germ Box effectively
  • Follow the diaper changing/potty procedures for children accordingly and as needed
  • Follow the When to Wash Hands policies as posted in the classroom
  • Follow the hand-washing procedures accordingly
  • Inspect outdoor and indoor play areas prior to play
