Key Responsibilities
  • Purchasing and Replenishment: You will be responsible for purchasing and replenishing produce through proper buying procedures, ensuring that our inventory is always up-to-date and accurate.
  • Inventory Control: You will monitor and act upon open PO reports for both purchases and credits in an accurate and timely manner, controlling spoilage and shrink, and achieving turn goals.
  • Merchandising and Display: You will be responsible for maximizing sales potential through effective and proper procedures for stocking and merchandising products, ensuring that our displays are always visually appealing and well-stocked.
  • Customer Service: You will provide excellent customer service, addressing the needs of customers in a timely and effective manner, and modeling suggestive selling techniques.
  • Team Collaboration: You will work closely with our produce team to ensure that our inventory is always accurate and up-to-date, and that our customers are always satisfied with their shopping experience.
Requirements
  • Experience: 12+ months retail experience, preferably in a produce or grocery environment.
  • Skills: Extensive produce product knowledge, including production, distribution, seasonal availability, advances, and trends. Familiarity with computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ordering systems.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours, and work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
