Key Responsibilities
In collaboration with our Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be instrumental in delivering the highest standard of nursing care to individuals in our facility, with a strong emphasis on maintaining a secure and safe environment.
- Administer nursing care within your scope and refer other medical issues to the appropriate healthcare provider.
- Conduct thorough physical assessments and gather medical histories.
- Regularly assess patients' symptoms, reactions, and progress, and communicate any concerns to the physician and management.
- Safely administer medications, ensuring precautions against misuse.
- Ensure prescribed medications are given as directed.
- Provide education to patients regarding chronic illnesses, post-hospitalization care, and post-surgical recovery.
- Oversee the workflow of LPN staff and contribute to performance evaluations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions and uphold confidentiality of medical records.
- Adhere to industry and organizational accreditation standards.

Qualifications
Essential Competencies
We seek individuals with strong diagnostic abilities, patience, and a natural sense of empathy. Our team members take pride in facilitating our patients' reintegration into society.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing program; a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
- Preferred: Two (2) years of direct nursing experience.
- Competence in crisis intervention, medical emergencies, physical assessments, and both medical and psychiatric nursing care is essential.
- Ability to work independently in performing nursing diagnoses and providing appropriate follow-up treatment.
- Frequently: Lift or carry and push/pull up to 40 lbs.; walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, and reach above shoulder level.
- Occasionally: Lift or carry and push/pull up to 60 lbs.; operate machinery and climb.
