Position Overview:
The Facility Cleaner must possess attention to detail, adaptability, and a willingness to undertake various cleaning tasks and special projects as required. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in offices, meeting spaces, restrooms, kitchens, dining areas, and public zones. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain building floors through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  • Collect and dispose of trash.
  • Service, clean, and restock restrooms.
  • Polish furniture and fixtures.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning solutions.
  • Dust furniture, walls, machinery, and equipment.
  • Perform minor adjustments and repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water with detergents or acids according to specifications.
  • Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
  • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
  • Restore building interiors affected by fire, smoke, or water using commercial cleaning equipment.
  • Clean laboratory equipment, including glassware and metal instruments, with solvents and brushes.
  • Operate vehicles necessary for cleaning tasks, including vans and industrial trucks.

Adhere to safety protocols for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to surfaces and fixtures.

Ensure building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after hours and monitoring electrical appliance usage to mitigate hazards.

Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies manually or with hand trucks. Maintain outdoor areas by mowing lawns and trimming shrubbery.

Report the need for significant repairs or enhancements to building systems to management. Request necessary supplies and equipment for cleaning and maintenance tasks. Other duties may be assigned.
