  • Process dietary requests accurately.
  • Document menu substitutions as per guidelines.
  • Store leftover food safely and appropriately.
  • Prepare beverages as requested.
  • Follow procedures for serving staff meals.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and surfaces.
  • Utilize appropriate serving tools during meal service.
  • Check and record water temperatures for sanitation purposes.
  • Monitor dishwasher effectiveness with sanitizer strips.
  • Assess and replenish chemical supplies as necessary.
  • Adhere to proper operating procedures for kitchen equipment.
  • Promote a positive image of the organization through exemplary service and communication.
  • Contribute to team efforts through participation in committees and collaborative projects.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the organization’s success.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent communication skills with associates, patients, and visitors, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Ability to address concerns with a helpful and professional demeanor.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

SUPERVISORY ROLE

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

Ability to read and interpret various documents, including safety guidelines and operational instructions. Proficient in writing routine correspondence and speaking effectively in group settings.

MATH SKILLS

Competence in basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and solve problems in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is required.

CERTIFICATIONS
