About the Role

Duke University is seeking a highly skilled Therapy Aide to join our team at Duke Regional Hospital. As a Therapy Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting our physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists in providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist therapists with patient care under direct and/or indirect supervision
  • Prepare patient and treatment areas for care
  • Transport patients to proper locations using all necessary safety precautions
  • Assist with scheduling inpatients and outpatients
  • Arrange schedules to ensure patients arrive on time for their visits
  • Assist patients with transfers, dressing, and toileting
  • Assist with the maintenance, care, and cleaning of equipment and supplies
  • Manage linen and supply inventory
  • Meet patient care productivity standards
Requirements
  • Graduation from high school or GED
  • Successful completion of an on-the-job training period
  • One year of rehabilitative services experience or equivalent education
  • BCLS certification or obtain within first three months of employment
