Plant Operations Specialist

Job Summary

This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Vinyl unit systems, ensuring high-quality production and compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain Vinyl unit equipment, performing routine checks and maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and record data readings, maintaining accurate records and reporting any issues to the lead operator or shift supervisor.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, responding to direction and providing updates on unit operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Policies, participating in regular training and drills to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform sampling and testing of process materials, maintaining accurate records and reporting results to the quality assurance team.
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of equipment, working collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure optimal unit performance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance unit efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; 1-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must score Gold or above on the ACT WorkKeys test.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Manufacturing environment includes dust, outdoors, and high noise levels; may require usage of required PPE, including safety glasses and hearing protection.
