Delaplaine/Maryland Endowed Chair in Business and Project Management

We are seeking a distinguished scholar and educator to fill the Delaplaine/Maryland Endowed Chair in Business and Project Management at Hood College. This is a full-time, one-year visiting position (renewable for an additional year) that requires candidates to possess an earned doctorate degree in entrepreneurship and/or innovation management, project management, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in management topics such as innovation management, entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, strategy management, and introduction to management.
  • Develop new courses based on assessment of regional needs and areas of expertise.
  • Conduct research and publish in top-tier academic journals.
  • Provide outreach and education services on project management and data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborate with regional partners to transfer business and project management best practices.
Requirements
  • Earned doctorate degree with experience and expertise in innovation management, entrepreneurship, project management, or related field.
  • A minimum of five years' college teaching experience is preferred.
  • Evidence of leadership within higher education and professional organizations, and success building mutually beneficial partnerships.
