Structural Engineering Associate

This associate engineering position presents a range of engaging and complex challenges in the field of structural engineering, providing an excellent pathway for career advancement.

You will collaborate closely with a team of structural engineers, interact with professionals from various engineering disciplines, and mentor junior project team members.

Project Involvement:
As part of a structural engineering team, you will contribute to engineering projects focused on new nuclear facilities as well as upgrades and modifications to existing nuclear power plants.

Key Responsibilities:
This position enables you to leverage your expertise in materials, structural analysis, and design of structural steel and reinforced concrete.

  • Collaborate on a diverse array of projects for multiple clients.
  • Prepare and evaluate design calculations, develop specifications, and assist designers in creating drawings.
  • Utilize advanced computer tools to conduct structural analysis and design for steel frames, connections, concrete components, and foundations.
  • Travel may be required for client and vendor meetings, as well as site visits for construction coordination and design verification.

Qualifications:
We do not provide sponsorship for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a project team setting, specializing in the design and analysis of structures, including AISC steel and ACI concrete designs.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS.
- Familiarity with design codes and standards, including ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience in the design and analysis of power plant or industrial structures.
- On-site construction support experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license.
