About this role:

We're seeking a Senior Branch Network Management Trainee (SAFE) for National Branch Network as part of the Consumer, Small and Business Banking division. This is an interim non-exempt position until you've received certification of program completion and been placed into a branch. Successful completion of the Branch Manager Readiness program is a prerequisite to transition into a non-exempt Associate Branch Manager (ABM) or exempt Branch Manager (BM) role.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coaching, developing, and building a high-performing team to execute business strategies, achieve results, and drive growth
  • Resolving low to moderately complex issues regarding customer and employee experience, risk, and growth of the team and business
  • Identifying opportunities for making banking easier for customers through education and demonstration of available digital options
  • Leading the branch while engaging stakeholders, peers, and internal partners in collaborating and building strong partnerships to deliver a customer-centric experience
  • Mentoring and guiding talent development of direct reports and assisting in hiring talent

This SAFE position has customer contact and job duties which may include offering/negotiating terms and/or taking an application for a dwelling secured transaction. As such, this position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations.

What you need:

  • 4+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Management experience including hiring, coaching, and developing direct reports
  • Ability to build and inspire a team where adaptability, collaboration, and accountability to performance are critical to success
  • Exercise independent judgment and critical thinking skills to manage time, prioritize, and delegate tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Experience and knowledge in coaching across customer segments, including affluent, high net worth, and small business

Bonus points if you:

  • Have extensive experience asking questions and identifying complex financial needs to provide relevant options to customers
  • Are able to lead a team to influence, educate, and connect customers to technology and share the value of digital banking
  • Have knowledge and understanding of banking industry laws and regulations, compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention

Average salary range:$80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
