Role Summary
The Global Vehicle Merchandising Manager plays a pivotal role in understanding customer preferences and optimizing the presentation and promotion of our vehicle offerings. This position is essential in ensuring a seamless and engaging shopping experience for customers during their purchasing journey. The manager will collaborate with various teams, including Business Partners, Software Product Managers, and Analytics, while leading an agency team to implement effective merchandising strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional team to develop and execute merchandising strategies and creative initiatives.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert on consumer shopping behaviors and trends, leveraging insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to align business objectives with user needs, translating them into actionable strategies.
- Analyze web analytics and customer behavior data to derive insights that drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Identify and address challenges and dependencies in the merchandising process.
- Conduct user research and testing to refine merchandising tactics and validate assumptions.
- Implement comprehensive merchandising strategies, including brand and content strategies, navigation optimization, and promotional campaigns.
- Communicate new strategies and capabilities to stakeholders, supported by data-driven insights.
- Influence pricing, product catalog, and advertising strategies through data-based recommendations.
- Foster a collaborative environment focused on problem-solving and understanding.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in digital merchandising or related fields, with knowledge of website development and customer experience design.
- 4+ years of experience in eCommerce merchandising strategies, including brand and content strategy.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite products, including AEM and Analytics.
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a creative or analytical capacity.
- Master's Degree.
- Experience in the automotive industry or retail merchandising.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Experience in managing agency relationships and influencing product strategies.
