We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Medilodge of Mt. Pleasant. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and leading our clinical team.
About the RoleThe Registered Nurse will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and providing total nursing care for residents. This includes assessing and documenting resident conditions, implementing physicians' orders, and supervising and directing LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs.
Responsibilities- Initiate and lead team conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans
- Assess and document resident conditions and nursing needs
- Accurately and promptly implement physicians' orders
- Assign nursing care to team members based on resident needs and staff capabilities
- Supervise, direct, and evaluate LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs
- Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents
- Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel
- Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act
- Ensure supplies are utilized economically and equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner
- Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents
- Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments
- Interview applicants and recommend hires, participate in counseling, disciplinary action, and termination of staff
- Supervise nursing unit, including scheduling and directing nursing staff
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing
- Valid RN license in the state employed
- Valid CPR certification
- One year of nursing experience preferred
