Job Summary

Kelly Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining production test solutions for electromechanical products. Your expertise in test automation principles and techniques will enable you to support the development and commercialization of innovative access control solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop production test solutions for electromechanical products, ensuring comprehensive test coverage across PCBA and end-of-line test fixtures.
  • Support electrical production lines, troubleshooting, and root cause failure analysis of electrical components and assemblies, providing metrics and documentation to support root cause analysis.
  • Communicate and coordinate with third-party fixture developers to support product timelines, determining complexity, timelines, and cost analysis of internal vs. external tester development.
  • Guide and direct a cross-functional team through necessary pre-production builds to ensure a clean transition to production builds by non-technical line workers.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in electronics, including creating analog and digital designs with embedded microprocessors, schematic capture, and PCB layout experience in Altium.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in mechanical fixturing to support test functions on electromechanical products, integrating and testing mechanical actuation solutions as part of test.
  • Formally report product status and testing results in a timely fashion.
  • Apply fundamental engineering principles to design challenges, considering cost, schedule, and manufacturability implications.
  • Support, maintain, and extend LabVIEW-controlled test fixtures with hardware designed in Altium and SOLIDWORKS.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • LabVIEW development experience.
  • Python and/or Robot Framework experience are a plus.
  • Proficient in using Altium software for PCBA design.
  • Education and/or experience with designing embedded systems and ability to write C/C++ code for embedded microcontrollers is preferred.
