The Phlebotomy Technician/Lab Assistant plays a vital role in our clinical support team by assisting patients, hospital personnel, and physicians.

Responsibilities include collecting blood specimens from patients without causing harm or disrupting patient care.

It is essential to ensure proper blood collection technique to maintain the integrity of the sample.

To be successful, the Phlebotomy Technician must be an effective communicator and good listener to alleviate anxiety and stress in patients.

The ideal candidate is trained in laboratory safety, adheres to strict policies and procedures, and practices proper infection control techniques.

Key skills include attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to work well under pressure.

The Phlebotomy Technician is responsible for collecting blood samples, practicing proper patient identification, labeling vials, and deciphering the best method for drawing blood based on the patient's specific needs.

Requirements for this PRN position include working a minimum of 2 shifts per month and 1 holiday per year.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to read, write, and communicate effectively, and possess blood-drawing skills.

Medical or laboratory knowledge is beneficial, and the ability to multitask, work in high-stress situations, and be detail-oriented is essential.
