Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Signal Processing Engineer to join our Uncrewed Systems Integration and Test Team at Leidos. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for researching and developing advanced signal processing algorithms and performing test and analysis of protected waveforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advanced signal processing algorithms to improve the performance and security of our communications systems.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and testing of protected waveforms to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with our team of experts to provide technical subject matter expertise to government customers and aid in product improvement and acquisitions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with government customers to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in signal processing and communications technology to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics, plus 5 years of relevant signal processing experience in communications and/or Electronic Warfare environments.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong background and demonstrated skills in signal processing, communications waveform modulation theory, spread LPD waveforms, signal detection theory, cyclostationary feature analysis, and MATLAB programming.
  • Hands-on experience with test equipment, including spectrum/signal analyzers, signal/function generators, and oscilloscopes.
  • Strong knowledge of RF concepts, including RF testing, RF propagation, and link budgets.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Final Secret Clearance and meet the eligibility to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Physics, plus 3 years of relevant signal processing experience.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming and technical research experience.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis and technical writing.
