Communications Signal Processing Engineer

Job Summary:

Leidos is seeking a skilled Communications Signal Processing Engineer to join our Uncrewed Systems Integration and Test Team in Huntsville, AL. As a key member of our team, you will research and develop advanced signal processing algorithms, perform test and analysis of protected waveforms, and provide performance and vulnerability assessments to our DoD customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement advanced signal processing algorithms for communications and electronic warfare environments
  • Perform test and analysis of protected waveforms, including spread LPD waveforms and cyclostationary feature analysis
  • Provide performance and vulnerability assessments to our DoD customers
  • Collaborate with our team to provide technical subject matter expertise for government product offices
  • Develop and maintain technical research experience, including implementation of findings via algorithm development
Requirements:
  • MS in Electrical Engineering or Physics, plus 5 years of relevant signal processing experience in communications and/or electronic warfare environments
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong background in signal processing and communications
  • Strong knowledge of RF concepts, including RF testing, RF propagation, and link budgets
  • Hands-on experience with test equipment, including spectrum/signal analyzers, signal/function generators, and oscilloscopes
  • Technical writing and report/presentation generation skills
Clearance Requirements:

The candidate must be a US citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance and meet the eligibility to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.

Location:

Must be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama, or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.
