POSITION OVERVIEW:

ATI is on the lookout for a Sales and Customer Service Process Leader to enhance our operations. The ideal candidate will leverage ATI Forged Products' capabilities to engage with both established and prospective clients through various communication channels, ensuring ATI Forged Products is positioned to seize opportunities in both current and emerging markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and cultivate new customer relationships and applications.
  • Negotiate and secure orders that align with both customer and ATI Forged Products standards.
  • Collaborate with the Program Sales Manager to develop commercial strategies across all ATI Forged Products facilities, ensuring effective execution of growth initiatives with local sales teams.
  • Provide Sales Management with insightful statistics on sales orders and shipment forecasts to support informed decision-making and goal establishment.
  • Stay informed about current and potential markets through interactions with customers and industry publications to enhance ATI Forged Products' competitive edge.
  • Update Sales Management on customer plant and order activities through internal communications and various reports.
  • Identify and communicate the major competitors for each customer, including their market share relative to ATI Forged Products.
  • Educate clients on ATI Forged Products' technical and physical capabilities through consistent communication to facilitate quote requests and order negotiations. Deliver compelling formal sales presentations to elicit desired responses from customers.
  • Initiate pricing requests from customers following internal protocols and provide relevant and timely information to support strategic pricing decisions.
  • Deliver accurate and timely quotation proposals to customers and follow up on negotiations to secure orders.
  • Coordinate order placements with Internal Editing and Engineering teams to ensure compliance with all customer specifications. Support adherence to ISO 9001:2000/AS9100A standards.
  • Facilitate communication between ATI Forged Products and customers regarding any contractual inquiries, establishing clear verbal and written commitments.
  • Engage with individual customer facilities to familiarize yourself with their product lines while promoting customer visits to showcase ATI Forged Products' capabilities.
  • Provide informal guidance to sales and clerical staff to ensure smooth operational processes.
  • Effectively manage customer complaints to ensure prompt resolutions and maintain positive customer relations.
  • Assist the Quality Department in submitting non-conforming materials for customer review, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and timely resolutions.
  • Support the Finance Department in resolving complex issues that cannot be addressed through standard Accounts Receivables procedures.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of sales experience is necessary.

CRUCIAL SKILLS:

  • Broad knowledge of sales techniques and strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with forging operations and techniques, along with a solid understanding of engineering principles.
  • Fundamental marketing knowledge, developed through sales experience, is required.
