Job Description

Boeing is seeking a highly skilled Interiors Qualification Engineer to join our team in Tukwila, WA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and integrate structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
  • Develop, maintain, and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and other design methods.
  • Perform and integrate analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Manage supplier development, test, and production activities and coordinate with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
  • Develop new design and analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of the development effort.
  • Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 1+ years of experience designing structural or interior payload systems.
  • Prior experience acting as a technical interface with suppliers.
  • Prior experience working with airplane interiors and/or systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain security clearance.
  • Experience working on wastewater system components.
  • 2+ years of experience testing and qualifying components on a Boeing platform, including DO-160 compliance.
  • Experience project managing and maintaining several components through a qualification program.
  • Experience leading qualification programs.
