Key Responsibilities:- Painting and Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, patching, and priming as needed. Select appropriate paint colors and finishes based on the facility's guidelines and preferences. Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment to achieve smooth and even finishes.
- Maintenance and Repair: Identify areas that require painting, touch-ups, or repair. Repair and patch damaged surfaces, including walls, ceilings, trim, and doors. Assist with minor carpentry or drywall repairs as necessary.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, using proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when required. Ensure all painting materials, tools, and equipment are stored and handled safely.
- Communication and Collaboration: Coordinate with the maintenance team and other staff members to schedule painting projects with minimal disruption to residents. Communicate effectively with supervisors, residents, and their families regarding painting plans and progress.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain a high standard of quality in painting work, paying attention to detail and ensuring a professional appearance. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets the facility's expectations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience as a professional painter or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of various painting techniques, materials, and equipment.

- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that involve bending, standing, and lifting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, staff, and supervisors.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Time management and organizational skills to prioritize and complete tasks within given deadlines.
