Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team in Delaware, AR. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of life for individuals served by AHG.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality care to individuals in their homes, ensuring their safety and health are maintained.
  • Develop and implement quality enhancements to improve communication and enrich the quality of life for individuals served.
  • Assist individuals in achieving their personal outcomes, promoting independence and autonomy.
  • Provide transportation in accordance with individual social, medical, and general developmental needs.
  • Treat individuals with respect and dignity, emphasizing person-centered supports.
  • Prepare meals in accordance with dietary plans, encouraging individuals to meet their dining objectives.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment, ensuring the surroundings of individuals remain clean and in good repair.
  • Administer medications or assist individuals as needed, understanding and delivering care in compliance with IP and company procedures.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Current First Aid Certification.
  • CNA License is preferred but not required.

Skills:

  • Ability to follow detailed plans accurately.
  • Ability to apply sound, mature decisions.
  • Ability to bend, stop, sit, stand, reach, and lift items weighing at least 75 pounds.

Computer Experience:

Word, Excel, and additional software.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License or State I.D. and liability insurance.
  • Satisfactory TB Questionnaire.
  • Acceptable Criminal background and Abuse checks as in accordance with State.

Working Conditions:
This position works under the direct supervision of the House Manager or Program Coordinator and has direct contact with individuals served by AHG.
