Job Title: Environmental Worker

Join CapLeo Global as an Environmental Worker and contribute to maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all patient, office, and ancillary areas of the hospital in a clean and sanitary condition.
  • Ensure all carts/equipment are clean, orderly, and safe, and are not left unattended.
  • Keep Environmental Services closets clean and organized.
  • Restock paper and soap supplies in all areas of the hospital.
  • Clean and disinfect precaution rooms according to infection control policies and procedures.
  • Pick up trash in assigned areas and place it in central locations for bulk pick-up.
  • Strip and refinish floors, shampoo carpets and upholstery, wash walls and windows, and transport furniture and equipment as assigned.
  • Assist with snow removal emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to Environmental Services pages in a timely manner.
  • Attend regular in-service training programs.
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a helpful and productive attitude throughout the workday.
  • Pick up trash and soiled linen in assigned areas.
  • Remove needle/glove boxes, chemo buckets, and soiled equipment from patient rooms and transport them to the soiled utility room.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read and write at a high school level.
  • Ability to lift and walk with a weight of up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of personal hygiene.
  • Ability to maintain a courteous and service-oriented attitude throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work in a standing position and perform normally assigned duties for the entire shift.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, especially regarding patients.
