Job Summary

As a Senior Tanks Manufacturing Engineer at Impulse Space, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for tank integration and supporting structures for our new vehicle, Helios. This is a critical role in ensuring the success of our launch vehicle and satellite deployment mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Responsible Engineers to solidify proper manufacturing processes
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for tank integration and supporting structures
  • Own the entire manufacturing life cycle for assigned projects and hardware
  • Work directly with machinists and technicians to produce high-quality hardware
  • Work directly with outside vendors
  • Update designs, manufacturing processes, and documentation to support continuous improvement
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Masters' degree in an engineering discipline
  • 10+ years' of demonstrated hands-on manufacturing experience within aerospace or related industry working with metallic structures
  • Previous experience working within a start-up
  • 4+ years' of demonstrated experience with welding (laser, friction stir weld, TIG, etc.)
