Shipyard Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at LaborOne Staffing. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing wood components, installing plywood deck protection, and performing other related tasks.

• Review blueprints and specifications to fabricate and repair wood components
• Install plywood deck protection and protective coverings
• Mill wooden blocks for ships in dry-dock
• Modify and install false deck panels
• Perform other related tasks as assigned

• High school or equivalent education certificate
• Minimum of two years experience in carpentry
• Basic rough and finish carpentry skills, including framing and cabinet making
• Ability to safely operate shop machinery and hand and power tools

This is a physically demanding role that requires frequent lifting, standing, and climbing. You will be working in a shipyard environment with exposure to airborne dust, toxic chemicals, and high levels of noise.
