The Retail Sales Associate will play a vital role in the successful management of our retail operations, focusing on delivering exceptional service to teams associated with Kiefer Aquatics.

This position is full-time, requiring flexibility across five varied days each week, including some weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Sales:

  • Prioritize customer service above all.
  • Develop and nurture business relationships with current and potential teams; drive profitable growth.
  • Engage in proactive communication through calls, emails, and in-person meetings with clients.
  • Provide teams with detailed pricing for swimwear, equipment, and accessories.
  • Collaborate with teams to finalize suit selections, cap options, and necessary apparel.
  • Coordinate fitting appointments and ensure timely order placements for team merchandise.
  • Maintain organized records of team interactions, suit choices, and fitting schedules.
  • Utilize Microsoft Teams to keep team information updated, including confirmations and orders.
  • Stay informed about product offerings and pricing from key suppliers.
  • Work alongside the graphics team to create and finalize logos and designs for apparel.
  • Report customer needs and market trends to management regularly.
  • Maintain open communication with the store manager and sales team.
  • Participate in team sales meetings.
  • Keep customer files and communications current.

Retail Sales:

  • Ensure customer service remains the top priority.
  • Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and store organization.
  • Support retail sales at off-site events.
  • Handle incoming inventory and outgoing shipments as necessary.
  • Prepare company vehicles for merchandise transport to events.
  • Open and close the store as required.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (training will be provided for our retail management software).

Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience in customer service or retail environments.
  • Outgoing and friendly demeanor.
  • Knowledge of the swimming industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Reliable transportation for commuting and event attendance.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset, capable of thriving in a collaborative retail setting.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not involve supervisory duties.

Physical Requirements:


The physical demands of this role require the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, climb, twist, and lift items weighing over 30 pounds.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:


This is a full-time hourly role with a flexible schedule, including weekdays and weekends, starting as early as 6:30 am. Occasional evening shifts may be necessary.
