Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sophisticated solutions that align with quality standards, cost efficiency, and production goals.
- Provide technical support for operational challenges, ensuring safety and ergonomic considerations are prioritized.
- Engage in tool design evaluations to ensure practicality and reduce fabrication times and costs.
- Collaborate with management and shop personnel to refine processes and achieve cost reduction targets.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives and challenge existing processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain and create manufacturing process documentation, including routings and standard work instructions.
- Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as required.
- Gain insights into data analytics and statistical process control to enhance productivity metrics.
- Identify and propose design modifications to improve manufacturability and line efficiency.
- Work closely with design engineers to enhance product manufacturability.
- Analyze operational data to refine procedures and improve overall efficiency.
- A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field.
- U.S. Person status or eligibility for necessary export authorizations.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA V5.
- Experience with ERP systems like SAP.
- Familiarity with Continuous Improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Knowledge of various materials including aluminum, steel, and composites.
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications and drawings.
- Innovative problem-solving skills related to quality and manufacturing costs.
