Job Summary

The Residential Waste Collector will be responsible for safely and efficiently collecting and transporting waste to post-collection facilities. This role requires a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a strong commitment to customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collects and transports waste to post-collection facilities
  • Assists helpers in loading solid waste into the truck hopper
  • Ensures company employees and third-party helpers adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Operates mechanical packer to load and compact trash
  • Performs daily pre- and post-trip inspections
  • Courteously interacts with customers and responds to requests
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid CDL, Class A or B
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Minimum one year of commercial driving experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of truck components and basic maintenance requirements
  • Ability to control equipment operations and maneuver the truck
  • Ability to recognize unacceptable waste and communicate effectively with customers
Working Conditions:
  • Frequently exposed to loud noise, humidity, and extreme weather conditions
  • Work in outdoor environment up to 100% of the time
  • Occasionally work in high precarious places
