About the Role

OWL Services is a leading provider of sales, installation, program management, and service solutions to various industries across the U.S. As an EV Charging Station Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing EV charging stations, including hardware replacement, upgrades, and electrical system maintenance and repair. You will also be responsible for servicing and installing various electronic equipment, such as security and Point of Sale systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot various issues and repair them correctly and timely.
  • Perform Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) testing.
  • Perform upgrades and revisions as needed.
  • Manage various testing requirements, such as torque, thermal imagery, insulation, and performance reports.
  • Locate system performance issues and fix ground faults.
  • Communicate with colleagues and customers regarding scheduling and work status updates.
  • Review work orders, manuals, and drawings to perform maintenance and service of equipment correctly.
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, replace/repair a wide variety of electro-mechanical devices, such as cash registers, coin changers, security equipment, alarms, and point of sale equipment.
  • Complete service requests and maintenance repair items in a timely manner and ensure all requests are handled professionally.
  • Utilize various testing devices and multiple hand and power tools related to the job.
  • May be temporarily assigned to other geographical areas to provide support with new installations and upgrades.
Requirements and Skills
  • One+ year experience working in an electrical capacity or education.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
  • Experience with EV Charging Stations or other power-related electronics is a plus.
  • Electrical certifications or licenses a plus.
  • Must be able to work independently and be a strong problem-solver.
  • Strong attention to safety and willingness to follow all safety protocols.
  • CPE250 Standalone, CPE250 Paired, CT4000, and CPF50 training a plus.
  • 24/7 on-call rotation with other techs in your area.
  • Experience with various POS systems (Verifone/NCR) and alarm systems are a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good driving record is required.
  • Ability to use a computer and smartphone proficiently.
