We are seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Knoxville, TN.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interview patients to determine medical problems/conditions and document in charts for physicians.
  • Document services performed on appropriate forms.
  • Apply compresses, ice, and heat packs.
  • Observe patients and report adverse reactions to medication or treatment to medical personnel in charge.
  • Assemble and use clinic equipment.
  • Collect samples, such as urine, blood, and sputum, from patients for testing and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
  • Sterilize equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain supplies, including stocking and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies.
  • Respond to patient or client telephone inquiries by evaluating and responding to the patient's/client's problems and questions.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a National League for Nursing accredited program.
  • Associate's degree (A.S.)
  • Current hands-on certification in Basic Life Support.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on the scope of contract services.
  • At least three years of clinical experience as a LPN/LVN in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting.
  • Knowledge about workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations.
  • Strong computer skills (Internet software, spreadsheet, word processing, etc.).
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
