Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Sepsis Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing the sepsis screening process, communicating with nurses regarding the Sepsis screening tool, and implementing the sepsis bundle. You will also serve as a resource to nursing staff on sepsis screening, documentation, and use of orders.
Key Responsibilities- Review and improve the sepsis screening process
- Communicate with nurses regarding the Sepsis screening tool and MD notification
- Implement the sepsis bundle and increase compliance with orders in ED and Inpatient units
- Provide education and serve as a resource to nursing staff on use of fluid resuscitation devices and care of septic patients in the ICU
- Participate in departmental goals and objectives, including nursing staff education and competency, nursing orientation and preceptor development, professional practice development, and patient and family education
A minimum of three years hospital clinical experience and at least one year of teaching experience in a hospital setting are required for this role. If you are a motivated and compassionate nurse looking to make a difference in the lives of our patients, we encourage you to apply.
