Our operations are primarily concentrated in the Southeastern United States, where we have built a strong reputation based on the dedication and hard work of our team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the complete estimating process for specific bids or projects.
- Deliver comprehensive conceptual and final estimates for intricate projects.
- Analyze proposal specifications and drawings, and participate in pre-bid meetings to ascertain the project scope and necessary estimate components.
- Integrate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity analysis into unit and man-hour calculations.- Generate estimates by executing a thorough takeoff of the project scope utilizing estimating software.
- Identify potential risks associated with estimates to ensure adequate provisions are included in the proposals.
- Ensure estimates are meticulously organized and ready for review prior to deadlines.- Maintain comprehensive files of working documents as backups. Collaborate with field operations on successful bids to ensure a seamless transition to the project team.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators and other members of the Preconstruction team.
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience in estimating, cost control, or engineering within the electrical construction sector.
- Proven success in estimating and negotiating large, complex projects.
- In-depth understanding of company protocols, estimating methodologies, and software tools.
- Ability to effectively coordinate and lead group efforts.
- Exceptional technical, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Accubid and Accubid Live Count Software is advantageous but not mandatory.
