Senior Underwriter, Primary and Excess Casualty

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team in a senior role. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for making analytical, data-driven decisions to underwrite business and price risk.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of wholesale brokers/agents and clients, leveraging market presence and knowledge to develop and underwrite profitable business.
- Act as a representative for Liberty Mutual, maintaining a strong market presence and established relationships with agents and brokers.
- Contribute ideas for product development and participate in development and execution.
- Collaborate effectively across teams, stakeholders, and partners to drive business growth and improve processes.
- Mentor junior underwriters and new hires, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and expertise.
- Degree in Business or equivalent typically required.
- A minimum of 2.5 years, typically 3 or more years, of progressive underwriting experience in E&S Primary Casualty and Excess Casualty.
- CPCU or professional insurance designation preferred.
- Proven analytical ability to evaluate and judge underwriting risks within scope of responsibility.
- Proficiency in the use of qualitative and quantitative tools and techniques.
