Role of the Lead Financial Analyst

The Lead Financial Analyst will oversee and evaluate various financial functions across multiple Miller entities. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Finance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the accounting processes related to payroll, collaborating closely with the sales team on commission calculations.
  • Ensure the timely and precise posting of assigned journal entries for month-end closure.
  • Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Calculate labor rates, suggest necessary adjustments, and guarantee their accurate recording across all systems.
  • Analyze financial trends, generate reports, and present insights to management.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our payroll systems and play a crucial role in process and system improvements.
  • Research and comprehend essential filing and reporting obligations as the company expands into new regions.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic reforecasting.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a strong preference for payroll experience.
  • High integrity and capability to manage confidential information.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to transform data into meaningful analyses.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues and senior-level business partners.
