Job Title: Cloud Computing DevOps Engineer, Senior

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Computing DevOps Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a DevOps engineer, you will play a critical role in streamlining the software development lifecycle, from requirements to monitoring in production.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers and developers to design, implement, and maintain cloud-based systems and applications. You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing cloud architectures using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other cloud platforms
  • Developing and maintaining automation scripts using Python, Bash, and PowerShell
  • Collaborating with developers, operations, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud-based systems
  • Ensuring security best practices are followed in cloud deployments
  • Providing technical guidance and support to team members on cloud-related topics
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and automation engineering
  • 3+ years of experience leading cloud platforms Amazon Web Services (AWS), including IaaS, PaaS, or Serverless offerings
  • 3+ years of experience with automation and scripting, including Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • 3+ years of experience with Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools, including Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Directive 8570 or 8140 Series Certification, including Security+ Certification for IAT Level II, within 60 days of start date
Preferred Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with experience in cloud architectural design and implementation of secure cloud infrastructure using automation tools. Additionally, experience with cloud troubleshooting using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and collaboration with developers, operations, and stakeholders is highly desirable.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD).

Work Model:

If this position is listed as onsite, you'll work with colleagues and clients in person, as needed for the specific role.
