Position Overview

The Parts Department at Koops, Inc. is dedicated to the assembly, refurbishment, inspection, and repair of precision mechanical components and assemblies utilized in our machines, including expander heads and weld cartridges.

The Parts Department Technician is responsible for executing a variety of hands-on tasks, including machining, assembly, inspection, rework, cleaning, and tuning of specialized mechanical components. Key responsibilities encompass:

  • Disassembly and assembly of components.
  • Fabrication and measurement of various parts using hand tools and power tools.
  • Safe operation of shop floor equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes.

Qualifications:

  • Strong cognitive and motor skills.
  • A sense of urgency and commitment to task completion.
  • Proficiency in basic hand tools, measuring equipment, and mechanical processes such as drilling, tapping, grinding, and polishing.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with team members, customers, and suppliers.
  • An Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
