Job Summary:

Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 is seeking a dedicated and skilled Paraeducator to provide support in special education classes for students with hearing impairments. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, and be proficient in Intermediate Level Sign Language.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide instructional support to teachers and students in special education classes
Assist with lesson planning and implementation
Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and staff
Communicate effectively with students who use sign language

Requirements:

High School Diploma or High School Equivalency
Proficient in Intermediate Level Sign Language
Verbal communication skills and ability to follow directions
Meet one of the following qualifications:
Credential of Competency for Special Education Paraeducators through the PA Department of Education
2 years of postsecondary study with a minimum of 48 credit hours
Associate degree or higher
Rigorous standard of quality as demonstrated through an approved form of assessment
