Supply Chain Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning, controlling, directing, and evaluating all activities related to supply management, inventory control, and receiving. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies for supply cost reduction and utilization management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of optimal supply management services
- Establish and interpret regulatory, departmental, and quality standards
- Assist in the daily operations of the department
- Develop goals consistent with departmental and organizational plans
- Ensure proper implementation and maintenance of the materials management information systems as it pertains to supply management
- Ensure employees are motivated to achieve functional objectives and provide assistance to enhance development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of supervisory experience and 3 years of purchasing/supply distribution or related experience
- Experience managing pre-programmed databases
Preferred Qualifications
- Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval of patient information
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
- Proficient with Windows-style applications and various software packages specific to role and keyboard
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel throughout and between facilities and work a flexible schedule
Working Conditions
- Sedentary work involving sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time
- No exposure to blood, body fluid, or tissue
- No occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases
