Supply Chain Specialist

As a Supply Technician (Medical) with the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of medical supplies to our healthcare facilities. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and effective communication skills to interact with clinical and administrative customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Pull stock inventory and material for delivery
- Replenish stock inventory and maintain records on stock levels
- Communicate with customers regarding medical supplies and monitor expiration dates
- Perform daily inventory using bar coding equipment and resolve discrepancies
- Distribute items according to established requirements and deliver supplies in a timely manner
Requirements
- One year of specialized experience in supply chain management or a related field
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push loaded carts of medical supplies
Working Conditions
The work environment is dynamic and requires standing and walking throughout the day. The position involves frequent reaching, bending, and lifting of supply packages, as well as pushing loaded carts of medical supplies. The work requires maintaining a clean environment while performing tasks that can produce dust or other infectious pollutants. The position may also require working in hot, cold, drafty, and poorly lit areas.
