POSITION OVERVIEW

The Motion Graphics Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing the creation of motion graphics, assigning tasks, and ensuring that high-quality work is completed within set timelines. This role will involve close collaboration with the Creative and Marketing teams to produce visually captivating motion graphics and animations for multiple digital media platforms, aimed at engaging and informing Accel Entertainment's partners and their clientele.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Motion Graphics Design team.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate project activities to meet deadlines.
  • Work alongside the Creative and Marketing teams to design marketing materials, transforming static images into dynamic motion graphics and animated videos.
  • Manage content schedules for key account digital displays and oversee uploads to various content management systems.
  • Conduct site visits to key accounts to review digital content and collaborate with other teams to resolve any issues.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures and training materials for content creation, providing guidance to other designers as necessary.
  • Collaborate with gaming manufacturers to acquire game title assets and manage the internal asset library.
  • Enhance motion graphic content with typography, visual effects, and audio elements.
  • Adapt motion graphics for various screen sizes and resolutions to ensure optimal playback across devices.
  • Maintain a strong focus on aesthetics and detail, ensuring all deliverables meet high-quality standards.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing innovative ideas to improve visual communication and storyboard motion graphic projects aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Stay informed about design trends and new tools to produce cutting-edge motion graphics that distinguish us from competitors.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Serve as a quality control resource to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Perform basic marketing tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Motion Graphics, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4-6+ years of professional experience in Motion Graphics or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of managerial or leadership experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with project management systems.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premier Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe Express.
  • Working knowledge of Canva.
  • Strong design skills with a focus on layout, audio, typography, and color theory.
  • A passion for design and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • High standards of excellence and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and manage multiple projects effectively.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Prolonged periods of sitting may be required, along with the use of hand and finger dexterity. Visual acuity is necessary for operating equipment and reading technical information. The work environment typically maintains a moderate noise level.
