The Transportation Lead will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of medical equipment and supplies to our customers. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement daily delivery schedules to ensure on-time delivery of equipment and supplies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer interactions
- Provide coaching and training to delivery employees to ensure they meet company standards
- Respond to emergency delivery calls and ensure customers receive necessary equipment and supplies
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a delivery or logistics environment
- Commercial driver's license with hazardous materials, cargo tank, and air brake endorsements required
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
The Transportation Lead will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers, delivery employees, and other departments to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of equipment and supplies. The role requires frequent travel, including overnight stays, and may involve working in a variety of weather conditions.
Physical DemandsThe Transportation Lead will be required to:
- Regularly use hands to write, use a computer, operate a motor vehicle, and use a document imaging system
- Regularly read documents and write neatly, legibly, and transcribe accurate information and numbers/values
- Continually engage in activities that require talking and hearing
- Frequently stand, walk, sit, kneel, reach, or stoop
- Occasionally climb ladders up to 10' high
