El Paso Children's Hospital Corporation is seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. As a Nursing Assistant, you will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and be responsible for providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of tasks to assist Registered Nurses with patient care, including vital sign checks, specimen collections, and lifting and transferring patients.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in high-stress situations.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery, communicating effectively through verbal and written reports.
- Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment, adhering to infection control and patient safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and CPR (BLS) card.
- High school graduate or equivalent, with completion of an approved educational program for nursing assistants.
- One year of experience as a Nursing Assistant, preferably in an acute-care setting.
Work Environment
This is a part-time position at El Paso Children's Hospital Corporation, with a focus on collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.
